The Big Pink have confirmed a series of North American shows for the summer, in amongst a number of European festival appearances. Ahead of these dates, the band have made available a free-to-download five track remix EP. In amongst efforts from AraabmuziK, Forest Swords and King Krule, is a never before heard take on '77' by d'Eon.
Montreal's d'Eon resides on the Hippos In Tanks label, creating modern electronic music in pop and experimental forms. d'Eon's remix of The Big Pink is an a capella, autotuned in several ways simultaneously, resulting in choral harmonies that remain in G major for the duration.
SpaceGhostPurrp last night dropped a video for 'The Black God', the first to appear in support of his forthcoming album. Filmed in and around his hometown of Miami, FL, it's everything you could ask for with urban decay, gold teeth, cash, fire, girls and a card game all ticked off. The video was conceived by the mysterious producer/rapper himself and you can view it on his YouTube channel here. To coincide, a free download of the instrumental track is available from 4AD.com - here.
Being premiered online today is 'Nightmusic', the second video to be taken from Grimes' Visions. Following on from the superb video for 'Oblivion', 'Nightmusic' catches Claire channeling her darker side, turning one of the album's many highlights in to a modern gothic masterpiece. Directed by regular Grimes conspirator John Londono, the video can be now viewed here and is embedded below.
