Fading Frontier, the new studio album by Deerhunter, is set for release on 16th October 2015 on 4AD.
The record was made by founding members Bradford Cox, Lockett Pundt, Moses Archuleta, and bassist Josh McKay. Written in their hometown of Atlanta, GA, production duties were shared by the band and Ben H. Allen III, continuing a collaboration that began with 2010’s Halcyon Digest.
Following the death-rattle garage catharsis of Monomania, the group have shifted towards something strikingly...

Halcyon Digest is the fourth studio album from Atlanta’s Deerhunter. The quartet of Bradford Cox, Lockett Pundt, Joshua Fauver and Moses Archuleta have established themselves as one of the most innovative and important bands to emerge from the US in recent years.
Remaining in their native Georgia to piece together their second full-length record for 4AD, Halcyon Digest took just a few weeks to complete in June 2010. The recording sessions took place at Chase Park Transduction in Athens with...

In addition to Microcastle, the band added Weird Era Cont., a bonus disc of brand new material.
An album in it’s own right, the band wanted Weird Era Cont. to appear with little fanfare and as a surprise on release day. It’s more than just bonus material though; it’s further proof of this band’s prolific and unerring ability to make timeless music.

The first single to be taken from Microcastle is ‘Nothing Ever Happened’.
Both an immediate and incredible way of introducing the band; an epic, motorik driven stomper complete with heavy bass, dazzling guitars and an extremely high repeat value. It comes backed here with ‘Little Kids (demo)’, an alternate version of an album track, and was released on limited edition 7” vinyl ahead of the album’s release in late-October 2008.
