Today tUnE-yArDs (with help from YouTube Music) debuts the third video from their critically-acclaimed Pazz & Jop topping album w h o k i l l, for the album's opening track, 'My Country'. You can watch the video below.
The video, a spirited second collaboration with director Mimi Cave (who also helmed the brilliant video for 'Bizness'), features young stars from Brightworks, a K-12 school in San Francisco, and the San Francisco Rock Project, a non-profit organisation focused on music education for youngsters. Madeline O'Kennon also reprises her portrayal of tUnE-yArDs' Merrill Garbus, first seen in the video for 'Bizness'.
tUnE-yArDs released their much anticipated second album, w h o k i l l, on 4AD in April. Backed by a wave of critical praise following thrilling performances at SXSW and the memorable video for lead track, 'Bizness', w h o k i l l represented a bold step forward for the band, pulling in new fans across the board. Showcasing a rich sonic palette, the brighter production values displays the sonorous voice of Merrill Garbus and the keen pop sensibility at the heart of the band.
