On the heels of sold out shows at the Royal Albert Hall and The Electric Ballroom and following the release of High Violet this week (more HERE), The National announce their new single, 'Anyone’s Ghost' due for release on June 28th. Returning to the UK this summer, The National will perform at Glastonbury, as well as headline the Word Arena stage at Latitude. Later in the year, The National return to Europe for additional headline shows this November.

The track 'Anyone’s Ghost' will be released as a digital download June 28th. 'Anyone’s Ghost' was recorded during the High Violet album sessions of March 2009 at The National’s studio in Brooklyn.

The National also perform on May 15 at BAM, a show that will feature a worldwide broadcast at 20:00EDT, streamed live to millions as a VEVO event on Youtube The live concert event will be directed by DA Pennebaker (Dylan's Don't Look Back, Depeche Mode 101, The War Room), who is creating a short documentary to broadcast before the concert. All proceeds from ticket sales for the concert will go directly to the Red Hot Organization who will be tagged on all promotions surrounding the event..

As well as the band's full tour itinerary, available at the bottom of the page, The National have announced the following UK headline dates for November, with a headline show at Brixton Academy on December 1.

The band appeared performing the lead single from High Violet, 'Bloodbuzz Ohio' last night on BBC1 for Later... With Jools Holland. An extended version of the programme airs on Friday , with last night's show available to view here. (Watch the band's first appearance on the show performing 'Lit Up' from five years ago here). The video of the single is now available to view above, directed by Hope Hall, Andreas Burgess, and Carin Besser, but also features the previously mentioned DA Pennebaker as a bartender.
