CLICK TO WATCH THE ARIEL PINK'S HAUNTED GRAFFITI 4AD SESSION
Ahead of their debut release for 4AD (worldwide from June 8, 2010) and premiered earlier today on Pitchfork and The Guardian, Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti appear in session with a number of tracks from the forthcoming "Before Today" alongside recordings of the likes of 'Flashback' and 'Spires in the Snow' (incarnations of the latter dating back as far as 1999).
Recorded at Studio Plateaux on the Thameside island Platts Eyot, the session showcases the band's rich pop palette; a beguiling mix of glam rock, West Coast funk and Merseybeat harmonies with a newfound high-production sheen - a contrast to the corroded bedroom recordings that have fomented a fervent cult following over the past decade.

"L'Estat (According to the Widow's Maid)"
The 4AD Sessions are a dedicated home for exclusive live sessions from artists on the label, allowing them to also perform new material, alternate versions and back-catalogue covers.
Six months in the making, Before Today was recorded in part in Encino at the House of Blues (once Tito Jackson's home studio) with Sunny Levine (Quincy Jones' grandson) and Rik Pekkonen (Bill Withers, Seals & Crofts, Bread) as well as at the band's home studios. The result is a beguiling mix of glam rock, West Coast funk and Merseybeat harmonies with a high-production sheen; a contrast to the corroded bedroom recordings that have fomented a fervent cult following over the past decade.
