Daughter : Daughter Win Album Of The Year At The AIM Awards
4th September 2013

Last night saw Daughter walk away with the prestigious Album of the Year trophy at the 2013 AIM Awards in London.

Honouring the independent music sector and the musicians who help to make it so vibrant, the AIM Awards are now into their third year and already an important date in the diary. Daughter were also shortlisted for Best Breakthrough and Best Track ('Youth'), with David Byrne & St. Vincent, Grimes and The National also nominated. For the full list of winners, go here.

Currently on tour in Norway, the band yesterday confirmed the support acts for the forthcoming UK and European Tours this winter. Label mates Indians will join them for the entire UK leg in October while Broken Twin will take over for the mainland Europe shows in November. Torres will also be on the bill at the long sold out London Shepherd's Bush Empire show. All shows and ticket links can be found on the band's website - www.ohdaughter.com/daughter-live

The band recently released 'Youth' as a limited 7" and have just posted 'Smoke' - the record's b-side and a brand new track - online. You can listen to it in the player below...
