'Green Lady' Premiered By Stereogum, European Tour Detailed

Ahead of the release of After The End, the new album from Merchandise and their 4AD debut, Stereogum have today premiered brand new track 'Green Lady' here.

Describing the track as "sinfully lush", it marks another step in Merchandise's progression towards their "twisted pop record", as detailed by lead singer Carson Cox in NME earlier in the year.  It is accompanied by an animation, using the Frank Haines' sculpture from the After The End album cover.  You can watch in the player below or on the band's YouTube channel.

Carson writes: "Drifting down a river through your own mind. Where only color is real. Light is real. Pain and malice are just shadows on the wall. You can see them and you can't. An infinite tunnel vision. The mind is like a tube and we're looking straight down it into the far end. With our ears and eyes falling through it."

Also announced today is the band's first full tour of the UK and Europe this year, taking in ten countries over a whole month, the band kicks things off in Germany on 3rd November. Tickets are on sale for most shows now, and all links can be found below.

Merchandise's new album After The End will be released on 4AD on 25th August.
