Ariel Pink - Ariel Pink Begins Tour, New Pitchfork 'Playlist' Feature
Ariel Pink : Ariel Pink Begins Tour, New Pitchfork 'Playlist' Feature
2nd October 2015

Ahead a set of west coast North American co-headline shows with the Black Lips, and new run of headline and festival dates in mainland Europe, Pitchfork have shared a video feature with Ariel Pink.

Appearing as part of their "Playlist" series, selecting a few of his favourite tracks and discussing what each one means to him, Ariel chose tracks from the likes of Cocteau Twins ('The Itchy Glowbo Blow'), 45 Grave (Slice O' Life) and local LA musician Vahag Sekadean.  Ariel also discussed the influence of Don Bolles (of The Germs fame) on last year's record pom pom (with Bolles now a full-time touring drummer for Ariel's band).  You can see the feature via Pitchfork here, or watch the video interview in the player below.

From Monday, Ariel heads out on tour with his band to play a series of shows in North America with the Black Lips, before arriving in Europe for a run of gigs starting with Pitchfork Paris Music Festival on 29th October.  He'll make further stops in cities including Warsaw, Vienna and Hamburg before concluding the year in Lisbon on 27th November.  You can find the full list of shows, and relevant ticket links, below.
