Ahead of its release on 13th January, SOHN has shared the title track from his forthcoming album Rennen. Following recent singles ‘Conrad’ and ‘Signal’, ‘Rennen’ offers a pause for reflection as it subtly down-shifts in tempo. Once again demonstrating his considerable abilities as both a songwriter and a producer, SOHN’s beatific voice soars over warm analogue layers. You can listen in the player below, or stream on all platforms here.
For his follow-up to 2014 debut Tremors, London-born SOHN has traded Vienna for the warmth of Los Angeles, but the influence of his former home still lingers (Rennen is a German verb meaning ‘to run’). Resuming a nocturnal schedule – as he did with Tremors – SOHN spent a month writing alone in northern California, recording until the morning. An exercise in restraint, SOHN used only a handful of musical elements on each track, allowing the spotlight to shine on the vocals, melodies and rhythms.
Rennen will be released on LP, CD and digitally from 13th January 2017.

In September this year, SOHN showcased new music at five sold-out club shows in London, Berlin, Vienna, New York and Los Angeles. Now with Rennen on its way, he has detailed a European and north American tour for next year, beginning on 13th February in his former home city of Vienna.
