4AD are proud to announce the worldwide release of In Ear Park, the new album from Department of Eagles.
A new signing to the label, Department of Eagles are from Brooklyn, NY and are the duo of Daniel Rossen (Grizzly Bear) and his friend Fred Nicolaus, with additional help from two other members of Grizzly Bear, Chris Taylor and Chris Bear.
In Ear Park is a delight; both colourful and expansive, it's built upon an intimate and personal framework of songs and is a definite highlight of 2008. Full of joyful moments, lush production and concise songwriting, In Ear Park is an album that stays with the listener and only encourages repeat visits.
They played their first live show as a band last night in Brooklyn and will hopefully be announcing tour dates shortly. However, those in New York can catch them perform at the Town Hall at the Revenge of the Bookeaters charity event. More info here.
