Beirut - New Album, New Tour

Following on from last year's enchanting and acclaimed debut album Gulag Orkestar, Beirut are now set to return with The Flying Club Cup, a record just as captivating as its predecessor.
And although the new album is closer in spirit to France than the Balkans - combining lyrical orchestral arrangements with romantic vocals like the chansonniers of yore - its confidence and melodic grace prove beyond doubt that Zach Condon is a prolific and unique talent.
This year has already seen an assured appearance at Glastonbury and a euphoric sold-out show at London’s Koko, both in June. Now, to mark the arrival of the new record, the eight piece ensemble of Beirut will be embarking on a full European tour in November. The UK leg ends with a headlining show at London's Roundhouse, almost a year to the day after Beirut's first ever London show supporting Calexico in the same venue.
The Flying Club Cup will be released on Monday 8th October.
