Dry Cleaning - 'Strong Feelings' On The Late Show With Stephen Colbert's #PLAYATHOME Series
Dry Cleaning : 'Strong Feelings' On The Late Show With Stephen Colbert's #PLAYATHOME Series
13th August 2021

Earlier this year, Dry Cleaning released their incredible debut album, New Long Leg, via 4AD.

It’s one of the most highly-praised albums of the year thus far, lauded by the likes of The New York Times, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, and NPR Music, just to name a few.  Additionally, fans cannot wait to experience the band live, which has led to a completely sold out North American tour.

Today, they share their performance of 'Strong Feelings' for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’s #PlayAtHome series.  'Strong Feelings' is built around “an ominous bass groove, shifty percussion, and a slowly building cobweb of guitar that finally turns iridescent like an oil puddle” (Pitchfork), and is one of New Long Leg’s standouts. Their performance highlights the band’s focused chemistry as singer Florence Shaw intones into the microphone with facial expressions that seemingly shift from deadpan to sardonic in a blink. It follows two new singles “Bug Eggs” b/w “Tony Speaks!”, released just a few weeks ago.

New Long Leg, the debut album by south London quartet Dry Cleaning, is out now.
