Tune-Yards and U.S. Girls embarked on the first ever North American 4AD tour earlier this month. The 12-date tour will hit Burlington, VT tonight and Boston tomorrow, before wrapping up at NYC’s Knockdown Center this Friday, 2nd November.  The final show will also feature a DJ set by Lizzi Bougatsos of Gang Gang Dance.  A limited edition 7" will be available exclusively on tour for 4 American Dollars.

In partnership with Revolutions Per Minute, Tune-Yards will be working to generate support for small-to-medium sized organizations who are educating and mobilizing voters in key states during this midterm election and beyond.  Tune-Yards and U.S. Girls are highlighting organizations along their tour route or fans can visit Movement Voter Project to find one in their town.  Garbus says, “I was particularly inspired by the work of Movement Voter Project and the organizations they are supporting because they work locally, have tangible and meaningful impact on important elections, and will be engaging whomever is in office after election day."

Tune-Yards’ fourth album I can feel you creep into my private life was released earlier this year to widespread praise and features the singles 'Heart Attack', 'Look At Your Hands' and 'ABC 123'.  A fully collaborative effort between Merrill Garbus and Nate Brenner who co-wrote and co-produced the record, Garbus’ lyrics explore her place in the world, ruminating on race, politics, intersectional feminism and the environment.  More recently, Tune-Yards released ‘Mango’, a collaboration with Lakeith Stanfield’s musical project Moors.  The duo connected with Stanfield through their work on the film Sorry to Bother You which they scored and stars Stanfield.  The band performed singles ‘ABC 123’ on Jimmy Kimmel and ‘Heart Attack’ on Conan in January.
